Water Quality

The water quality of a lake is a focus of interest of the LWRA because it is directly related to recreation, fishing, aquatic vegetation and surface water uses.

Measuring the lake's chemical, biological and physical composition is essential to understanding how the lake works and identifying appropriate lake management options.  Initial measurements establish parameters that can characterize the trophic status and overall ecology of the lake.

Check back this summer to see the results of water testing for this year.
