Happy New Year

On behalf of the Lake Waseosa Ratepayers Association (LWRA) we wish you and your families a very Happy New Year!

As we look ahead to the warmer days of summer, I would like to take this opportunity to look back at Summer 2022 with what we are proud to say was a great summer on our lakes. The LWRA kicked off our events with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in early May where we confirmed the return of six board members and welcomed two new directors.

After two summers of CoVid restrictions we happily resumed in-person activities beginning with our Fun Day hosted by the Verhey family and the Corn Roast hosted by the Vernon/Lares family.  By all accounts fun was had by all!

The Boat Parade returned for the third season and the on-line auction was held for the second year.

We are pleased to report we finished the year with over 100 LWRA memberships representing families on all four lakes.   As such, I would like to take this time to remind you that 2023 membership fees are due and appreciated by January 31, 2023.  With no increases, dues are $50 with $10 of the fee specifically earmarked for environment initiatives.

We kindly ask that your 2023 annual membership dues of $50 to be paid by e-transfer to treasurer@lwra.net  or send by cheque payable to LWRA mailed to LWRA c/o 12 Elmview Drive Toronto, On M1N 2W4.  Please indicate that this is for your annual dues referencing your lake property address in the comments section to ensure we credit the correct member. Additional information can be found on our website at https://www.lwra.net/membership-renew.

All the best for 2023.

Janet McCallum
